Living Things

During a A trip to the Nature Museum in Chicago we saw an exhibit showing some of the possible critters lurking in our homes.
Some of the most common are moth larvae that like to feed on
clothing, carpet or upholstery. If you start to notice little holes in you sweaters that may be a sign they have moved in. The best way to keep them out of your clothing and other fibers is to pack them away with cedar chips or lavender.
Another culprit was the mice in the basement. Just a reminder about dusting off those holiday decorations before you store them in the basement. Make sure you do not have any food or crumbs on them because the mice will move into their new Christmas tee box apartment where you have provided them food and shelter.
